Terms of Service

Last updated 14 August 2026

The important one. Seomely reports and explains what Google has decided about your pages. It cannot make Google index them, and nothing in this service should be read as a promise that it will.

1. Who these terms are with

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Seomely ("Seomely", "we"), reachable at support@seomely.com. By creating an account you accept them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

2. What the service is

Seomely connects to your Google Search Console account with read-only permission, builds an inventory of your URLs from your sitemap, checks their indexing status through Google's URL Inspection API, keeps a record of what it observes over time, and alerts you when that status changes. It can also notify the IndexNow network when your URLs change.

3. What the service is not

This section is deliberately blunt, because the category it sits in frequently is not.

  • We do not index your pages. Only Google decides what enters its index. Seomely observes and explains that decision. It does not influence it.
  • We do not use Google's Indexing API to submit ordinary pages. That API officially supports only job postings and broadcast events, and using it for other content is outside Google's terms. We do not do it and we will not add it.
  • IndexNow does not reach Google. Google does not participate in the IndexNow protocol. Submissions reach the participating engines only, currently including Bing, Yandex, Seznam, Naver and Yep.
  • Submission is not indexing. Notifying a search engine that a URL exists does not oblige it to crawl or index that URL.
  • We do not guarantee rankings or traffic. No one honestly can.

4. Quota and coverage

Google limits URL inspections to 2,000 per property per day, shared across every tool that inspects that property. Seomely uses at most 1,500 of that allowance so your other tools retain theirs. Consequently, on larger properties not every URL is checked every day: URLs are checked on a rotation, with newly discovered and currently broken URLs prioritised. Your plan's URL allowance describes how many URLs we will monitor, not how many we will inspect per day.

5. Your responsibilities

  • You must own or be authorised to manage the properties you connect, and your Search Console permission level must be sufficient.
  • You are responsible for the security of your account and your API keys. API keys carry the same access as your account.
  • You must not resell raw access to the API, attempt to circumvent plan limits, or use the service to interfere with anyone else's site.

6. Plans, billing and refunds

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, through Polar, which acts as merchant of record and issues your invoice. Prices are shown before you pay and exclude any tax Polar is required to add for your jurisdiction.

You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for; we do not prorate partial periods. If Seomely fails to deliver what this page describes, email us and we will refund you. We would rather do that than argue.

If we change prices, existing subscribers keep their current price for at least 12 months from the change, and we will email you before it applies.

7. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee on any plan described on this site. The service depends on Google's APIs, and if Google changes, restricts, or withdraws the URL Inspection API, the corresponding features of Seomely will change or stop. We will tell you if that happens.

8. Your data

Your data is yours. You can export it or delete it at any time. What we collect and how long we keep it is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that abuses the API in a way which threatens the service for others, or where required by law. If we close your account without cause, we refund the unused portion of your term.

10. Liability

The service is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost traffic, lost rankings, or lost revenue. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Changes to these terms

If we make a material change we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which Seomely is established. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory law in your own country of residence, and you may bring proceedings there.
